Difference Between Flat & Concave Tava

Concave Tava
The slightly curved centre helps spread dosa batter more easily and is preferred for traditional dosa making.

Flat Tava
Provides a completely flat cooking surface, making it ideal for roti, chapati, paratha and multipurpose everyday cooking.

Before First Use
• Wash lightly and dry completely
• Heat gently with a thin layer of oil before cooking

After Use
• Avoid soaking in water for long periods
• Dry immediately after washing
• Apply a light coat of oil to help prevent rust

Important Notes
• Iron cookware may naturally darken over time — this is normal
• Minor marks, texture variations and finish differences are common with traditional iron cookware
• Surface improves with continued use and seasoning
